We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at an innovative software company dedicated to crafting bespoke software solutions.

You'll be part of a collaborative environment, working alongside Engineers, Strategists, and Software Consultants who share a passion for delivering top-notch web and mobile solutions with an unwavering commitment to excellence.

As the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of our engineering team.

Your responsibilities include providing guidance and mentorship to our talented engineers, overseeing project technicalities, and managing the development process.

Moreover, you'll be actively involved in the recruitment process, fostering a positive team culture, and contributing significantly to our company's success.


Your Responsibilities:
Lead our engineering team in designing, developing, and testing software solutions for our clients, partners, and internal teams.

Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams to devise and execute sprint plans that optimize our production schedule capacity.

Stay abreast of the latest development software trends, frameworks, and tools, and evaluate their suitability for our projects.
Provide guidance to ensure our team adheres to development standards and practices.

Manage our talent pipeline to support expected growth and technological opportunities, in alignment with updates from our Go-to-Market Leadership.

Conduct interviews, oversee hiring processes, and develop training plans for new engineering team members in collaboration with our Employee Experience team.

Manage and supplement capabilities outside our team's current scope, including architecture, advanced development, project scoping, and facilitating work with engineering partners and subcontractors.

Foster employee success, satisfaction, and retention by setting clear expectations, creating measurable scorecards, devising growth/career/compensation plans, and serving as a liaison between the team and other leadership.

Ensure comprehensive documentation of all client projects and internal tools.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of proven experience in software development, with proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a knack for learning new technologies.

Demonstrated expertise in agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, with a strong track record of leading project development cycles effectively.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong leadership and management experience, with a successful history of leading and mentoring engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and other teams to develop and execute sprint plans aligned with business objectives.

Experience in talent acquisition, interviewing, and onboarding new team members, with a focus on nurturing a positive and inclusive team culture.

Proactive commitment to staying updated on the latest development software trends and evaluating their relevance to our projects.
Dedication to documentation best practices for thorough documentation of client projects and internal tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges and project obstacles.
Preferred experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
