About the RoleThis position reports directly to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:
Your Responsibilities- Prepare and verify records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open order of suppliers. Notifies departments of received packages, etc.
- Establish and maintain auditable records of all receipts and shipments.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, which requires driving a forklift and lifting of packages.
- Input and retrieve data from computer to record, update and monitor shipments and dispositions to ensure we are supporting our customer(s).
- Coordinate and complete physical inventories and cycle counts as scheduled.
- Prepare accurate bills of lading, dray tickets, and shipping documents.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
- Meet and maintain all customer quality standards.
- Meet or exceed daily production goals and expectations as defined within your department work procedures.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is preferred
- Proven good understanding of warehousing, inventory management, shipping and receiving procedures are preferred.
- Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft package.
- Must be Forklift certified and able to undergo testing.
- Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills.
