Job Summary

Responsibilities:

* Provide routine, standardized nursing care for patients under the supervision of the physician.
* Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
* Arrange for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to hospital.
* Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
* Document patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into patient chart and ensure that all required records are in the chart.
* Obtain brief medical history and chief complaint from patients.
* Call in prescriptions for patients according to physician order.
* Prepare exam rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment.
* Clean exam rooms between procedures and exams.
* Receive and return clinically related telephone calls; screening and forwarding those requiring physician action.
* Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies.
* Inform physician of changes in schedule.

Requirements:

* Associate's Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
* No experience is required.
* Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
