MIG Welding Specialist

2nd Shift / Monday to Friday / 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Compensation: $19 per hour

The MIG Welding Specialist is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by utilizing the appropriate welding methods and operating various welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize gas metal arc welding (MIG) equipment to weld metal components
  • Prepare welding machines and select necessary materials
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Fit and attach components for welding and subsequently fuse them
  • Conduct test welds to ensure quality and safety standards
  • Examine finished welds to verify compliance with specifications
  • Perform quality control assessments on welds
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining MIG welding machines
  • Understanding of metallurgy, welding techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Attention to detail in following instructions
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities for troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
