Main Purpose of Job

The primary purpose of this position is to secure and manage contracts for children in need of residential, treatment, and nonresidential foster care services. This position secures contracts for out-of-home placements and supportive services for children in need of foster care services. In addition, this position oversees all contract management activities designed to strengthen achievement of performance outcomes and assure that the deliverables are met with the Contractors in Maryland and other jurisdictions.\r
This position supports the mission of the agency by securing and monitoring contracts with vendors that provide placement and supportive services that are designed to protect the vulnerable children of the State of Maryland.\r

POSITION DUTIES

Plans, organizes, and secures purchase of care contracts for residential, treatment, and nonresidential foster care services.�\r

Manages purchase of care contracts for residential, treatment, and nonresidential foster care services.\r
\r
\r
Directs and coordinates administrative work to support the interpretation and applications of laws, policies, procedures, and regulations for the contract and procurement process.\r
\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:� �A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.\r
EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations. \r

1. Candidates may substitute additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations�on a year-for-year basis for the required education. \r
\r
2. Candidates may substitute graduate level education�at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit�hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.\r
