This position will assist in the management and execution of the Compliance Management System (CMS) project for Discover Network Operations, which includes various risk and compliance activities. The ideal candidate has a background in compliance activities, skills in project management, is detail oriented, a thought leader, and an effective communicator. You will be responsible for reporting on, and monitoring, the status of risk and compliance projects and initiatives. You will actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities

  • Maintains consolidated database of remediation efforts.
  • Utilizes software applications, including spreadsheets, relationship databases, statistical and graphical packages to assemble, manipulate, and format data and reports.
  • Provides reports to assess the results of tests and support decision making. Ensures adequate tests and controls are in place for the validity of reporting.
  • Analyzes risk and operations data. Interprets data to support risk environment monitoring and risk mitigation.
  • Tracks and follows up on complaint handling to ensure root-cause analyses and remediation efforts have been completed.
  • Prepares formal and informal communications to management regarding initiatives, issues, and achievements.

Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Liberal Arts, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Consumer Banking, Retail Banking Operations, Project Management, Risk Management, Consumer Banking Compliance, Audit, Operations, Customer Service, Quality, Policies and Procedures, AML, and/or other regulatory experience, or related field
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Consumer Banking, Retail Banking Operations, Project Management, Risk Management, Consumer Banking Compliance, Audit, Operations, Customer Service, Quality, Policies and Procedures, AML, and/or other regulatory experience, or related field

Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we'd also look for:

  • 6+ years of experience in Consumer Banking, Retail Banking Operations, Project Management, Risk Management, Consumer Banking Compliance, Audit, Operations, Customer Service, Quality, Policies and Procedures, AML, and/or other regulatory experience, or related field
  • Lean, Six Sigma and/or demonstrated process improvement expertise

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127, Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
