Our consulting team has extensive industry experience in areas such as risk management, actuarial, health care, life insurance, disability and absence management, property & casualty insurance, retirement and pension services. In addition, the firm provides strategic consultation directly to employers on the use of captive insurance facilities in the employee benefits and property & casualty area. Formerly the U.S. Strategy Consulting unit of Watson Wyatt Insurance & Financial Services, Inc., Spring was founded by the management team in 2004.

Spring became part of Alera in 2018. Alera Group is a privately-held firm based out of Deerfield, Illinois. Alera Group is a leading independent national employee benefits, property and casualty, risk management and wealth management firm created through a merger of 24 like-minded entrepreneurial firms across the United States. Today, Alera has over 4,000 employees and continues to grow. We provide our clients with the best of both worlds - national scope combined with local service. Position Responsibilities:

You will work closely with actuaries and consultants in the following areas:

  • Provide project management and general data collection, organization and client support
  • Assist with marketing and new business initiatives
  • Support office and administrative functions as necessary
  • Participate in company peer review process
  • Support intellectual capital development within firm
  • Correspond with clients, including data gathering, discussion of issues and presentations at meetings

T he ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Previous office experience a plus
  • Flexibility and energy to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment
