Brooklyn restaurants, Walter's and Karasu, seek a highly motivated individual to join our staff in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. Our establishments are known for having warm, neighborly, busy environments with elevated bistro cuisine. We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated Sous Chef with a strong commitment to service, attention to detail, communication skills, and most importantly, a passion for food. Applicants must also possess a determined ability to coach and effectively manage a hardworking team. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of BOH for American bistro, Walter's, as well as oversee our izakaya, Karasu which share the location. Must be able to develop and maintain a culture of hard work, accountability and fun

Skills requested:

Ability to manage 25+ BOH staff
- NYC Food Handlers Card
- Professional and punctual habits
- English and Spanish speaking is a plus
- Culinary degree is a plus
- Ability to perform administrative duties such as ordering, inventory, and schedule
- Knowledge of current restaurant trends
- Outstanding DOH standards
- Flexible schedule
