This role supports the Trane Technologies Life Sciences Equipment Portfolio. TRANE Technologies designs, integrates, manufactures, markets, and distributes specialized medical and laboratory equipment to clinical and life science customers in over 125 countries, as well as provide after-market service and support.

The Inside Sales Representative I (ISR I) is responsible for the achievement of annual financial goals and profitable revenue growth as assigned within defined geographic quotas and/or defined MBOs.

Responsibilities include prospecting, establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with new and existing customers to increase equipment sales of Helmer and FARRAR products. ISR I's manage customer and territory communications (opportunities, quotes, customer inquiries) in addition to lead generation prospecting campaigns while complying with current pricing guidelines and management direction. As needed, assists with training of new sales personnel, supporting Regional Business Managers and elevating engagement and mindshare of the TRANE Life Sciences Portfolio with our key distributors and partners local representatives. Eligible for a Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.

Some ISR I's may be assigned as floaters to cover open territories or to supplement coverage for high-volume territories.

What you will do:

  • Promotes TRANE Technologies values as demonstrated in personal productivity and quality of work, management of internal/external relationships, actively seeking out and participating in Continuous Improvement practices, and willingness to engage and support team initiatives.
  • Achievement of Sales Goals – The ISR I will be trained on the equipment portfolio and assists existing customers, distributors, and new account prospects with the buying process. Key activities include lead follow up, outbound prospect calling, delivery of promotions, answering product configuration questions, persuasively selling the value of TRANE Technologies life science solutions, and quoting of prices to direct customers.
    • Account Management – Follow standardized sales processes, maintain accurate and complete territory database in CRM system; generate sales opportunities through in-bound lead qualification and outbound prospecting activities, issue and follow-up on quotes, manage customer contacts in CRM, help resolve customer satisfaction issues.
    • New Account Acquisition – Prospect for new business opportunities and engage with current customers, IHNs, developing markets, and distributors to grow company sales.

  • Gather Market Intelligence - Reporting all market trends and competitive intelligence through detailed account notes and engagement in team meetings. Participation in tradeshows for new account acquisition and competitive insight to provide back to marketing.

What you will bring:

Relative Work Experience: Minimum 1+ yrs in laboratory equipment sales or customer service/support experience within bioscience, life science, healthcare or related segment recommended. International exposure and/or multi-lingual proficiency a plus.

Education: BS degree in Life Science, Sales and marketing, operational excellence or related field preferred

Certifications / Licenses: None.

Computer Systems / Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with customer relationship management systems (CRM) preferred.
