The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a second level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Chief, Headquarters Air Force (HAF) Chief Information Office (CIO) Information Management Operations Branch (HAF/IMIO) within the HAF CIO Support Division (HAF/IMI-SAF/AAII). SAF/AAII



Duties
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the RAF CIO Information Management Operations Branch ensuring the branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develop goals and objectives integrating organization and branch objectives.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management or headquarters. Selects candidates for subordinate non-supervisory positions and recommends selections for subordinate supervisory positions taking into consideration skills and qualification and mission requirements.
  • Information Management Program Policy development, interpretation, and oversight in accordance with the Clinger-Cohen Act, Freedom of Information Act, Paperwork Reduction Act, 0MB, and DoD guidance. Develops, reviews, evaluates, and coordinates new and changed policy directives, instructions and/or other AF guidance documents for developing and supporting AF information management.
  • Represents HAF CIO at higher level meetings within the organization, with DoD/service CIO organization working group, and contractor organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with DoD, HAF, MAJCOM, and contractor organizations.
