Responsibilities

Position Summary

Builders Vision is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator, reporting to the Assistant Controller, to play a role in implementing best-in-class operating procedures, optimizing our accounting system, and supporting the finance and accounting function of a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be a discreet, detail oriented and organized, and self-driven professional, and will be responsible for accounting and administrative support for the accounting team.

The Finance & Accounting function manages accounting and reporting, treasury, vendor maintenance, budgeting and cash forecasting, and capital allocation across all entities of our platform. The team currently consists of a Head of Finance & Accounting, Assistant Controller, Finance Operations Associate, Investment Accountant, and an Operations Accountant. This team works with individuals and teams across the company to support our mission.

Other Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple invoice and investment notice mailboxes, including directing notices to the appropriate groups for actioning.
  • Maintains vendors across all entities, including vendor set up, information verification, vendor updates, and supports year-end communications with vendors, including preparation and distribution of 1099s.
  • Supports set up of new bank and investment accounts across all entities.
  • Support accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding of entries in accounting system, and routing invoices to appropriate approvers.
  • Prepares invoices and manages follow up with 3rd parties for accounts receivable.
  • Assists with monthly and quarterly close process by extracting month end statements from various portals and communicating with various teams related to timely expense reporting
  • Maintains organized records and work papers.
  • Actively seek opportunities to provide structure and improve operations related to vendor and contract management.
  • In addition to the above accounting responsibilities, this role will also assist the Head of Finance and Accounting and Assistant Controller with daily office operational tasks on a needed basis.


Qualifications

Qualifications required for your success

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field with minimum 1 year of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Google Workspaces, including group mailboxes and google drive preferred.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct not required but preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and written.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust, and confidentiality.
  • Stays organized and demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
