Position Overview:

As a data governance / data management professional, are you looking for new challenges to address and enjoy influencing and collaborating with business and technology partners? Your Impact:

In this role, you will be an integral part of the newly formed Enterprise Data Office:

  • Serving as a liaison to the business functions, ensure data architecture governance guidance around metadata, lineage, data modeling, data domains and authoritative data sources are well articulated understood.
  • Using knowledge and expertise to identify improvements through reducing data excess and driving data reuse with both internal and external data
  • Participating in the development of a data governance framework with a focus on business process architecture and data architecture capabilities to reduce data risk and ensure compliance with data related policies
  • Performing gap assessments and build recommendations for closing those gaps
  • Proactively cultivate the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; sophisticated studies/degree preferred
  • 8-10+ years of shown data management experience
  • Deep understanding of data management and data governance concepts including but not limited too few or more of the following areas: BCBS 239 implementation, data maturity assessments, DCAM, data governance, data quality, data modeling, domain driven data governance, data and metadata management, business intelligence or data product ownership
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CPRA, CDPA, GLBA, other) related requirements for protecting sensitive data; Experience and understanding of security for privacy concepts and technologies such as data access governance, data classification, data discovery, encryption, masking, tokenization, information rights management, and data loss prevention
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams
  • Experience with influencing others and bringing people together towards a common goal
  • Communicate and present to senior management; ability to operate at a strategic level to assess the maturity of the organization and to be a change agent
  • Project Management skills, knowledge of MS word, MS PowerPoint, and MS excel
  • Knowledge of Catalog/Glossary/Metadata Tools such as Collibra, other
  • Hands on business and data experience on database and reporting tools such as SQL querying, Tableau, Power BI, other
