Our Impact:

The Enterprise Data Office is responsible for the execution and implementation of Freddie Mac's strategic data goals, including the achievement of the following: running data-related risks across Freddie Mac functions; influencing and partnering with Divisions to help them mature their data management programs; and finding and driving efficiencies within Freddie Mac's data ecosystem.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be an integral part of the newly formed Enterprise Data Office:

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the business functions, ensure data requirements are defined, communicated and well understood.
  • Using specialist knowledge and expertise to identify improvements through reducing data excess and driving data reuse with both internal and external data.
  • Participating in the development of a data governance framework with a focus on business data architecture, data quality and data privacy capabilities to reduce data risk and ensure compliance with data related policies.
  • Performing gap assessments and create recommendations for closing those gaps.
  • Proactively champion the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset.
  • Efficiently coordinating activities across the business and corporate functions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred AND 8-10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: BCBS 239 implementation, DMBOK, DCAM data maturity assessments, data governance, data quality, domain driven governance, data domains definition and SOR identification, master and reference data and metadata management, business intelligence.
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Experience with influencing others and bringing people together towards a common goal.
  • Communicate and present to senior management with an ability to operate at a strategic level to assess the organization and to be a change agent.
  • Project Management skills, knowledge of MS word, MS PowerPoint, and MS excel.
  • Hands-on experience on Catalog/Glossary/Metadata Tools such as Collibra preferred.
  • Hands on business and data experience on database and reporting tools such as SQL querying, Tableau, Power BI, other.
