The Pets at Work Caretaker will be responsible for providing daily care for pets within the Mars Petcare Dog Daycare Facility. They will ensure all pets enrolled in the program are safe, loved, and cared for through best-in-class operations including maintaining facility cleanliness, supporting with the implementation of enrichment programming, and providing an experience that is fun and full of snuggles for the pets that we care for This role will also include tasks assigned to support the on-site facilities team.

This role will require someone that is proactive, enthusiastic, and a team player - fully ready to pitch in anywhere when needed

What are we looking for?

Minimum HS DiplomaMinimum of 6 months experience interacting with dogs in a professional settingExperience working or volunteering in an animal facility or veterinary hospital is preferred but not requiredKnowledge in animal facility operationsKnowledge of animal behavior and canine body languageExcellent customer service skills in partnering with pet parentsPrevious experience with Microsoft SuiteAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout an 8 hour shift 10% facility supportGenuine love of animals
What will be your key responsibilities?

Execute the daily operations of the Dog Daycare facility to ensure pet safety and well-being, efficient running of the program, and overall care of the dogs within the facility.Direct and hands-on interaction with dogs including monitoring play, care, behavior, and engagement.Display a strong understanding of pet behaviors and canine body language.Support pet check-in procedures, registration processes, and upkeep of vaccine documentation within the Dog Daycare database.Report and document all pet behavioral concerns and feedback to the Pets at Work Manager.Daily deep cleaning of the Dog Daycare facility in accordance with standard operating procedures. This will include disinfecting and washing the floors, play equipment, dog toys, and laundry.Restock supplies for the Dog Daycare and office site.Support the Dog Daycare on-site events and activities for all Associates.Participate in the planning and implementation of daily canine enrichment opportunities.Provide support to the on-site facilities team when needed (i.e. restocking shelves, breaking down boxes, organizing storage rooms, assisting with events, etc.)Support Mars on-site retail store - duties including but not limited to: ordering and managing inventory, restocking inventory, adding additional items to POS system, ensuring that the store is fully stocked and organized, etc.Oversee the functionality of the company store and report any concerns to management.
