CSO (CHIEF SALES OFFICER)

We are seeking an experienced Chief Sales Officer, with existing clients in the consumer products industry, with a focus on branding, packaging development, testing, recycling and innovation. Our candidate will grow to have a strong knowledge of PTI offerings and processes. Must be able to spend time in the PTI office in Holland, Ohio to learn everything about the PTI Group and meet the teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Stimulate market growth by tapping into your existing network, prospecting, cold calling, and networking within the CPG market to include Brands, Advertising Agencies, and Contract Manufacturers.
  • Coordinate the Sales Team and Project Managers.
  • Analyze data and reports to understand market conditions, identify and prospect potential business opportunities and trends.
  • Develop and manage the business development budget with local management and the HQ.
  • Act as key account with selected brand owners and seek to establish relationships with new potential accounts.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close business deals.
  • Achieve sales targets and revenue goals set by the company.
  • Conduct professional presentations to prospective and existing customers.
  • Work with Engineering teams to close new business.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure optimal visibility of company products and services.
  • Promote and represent PTI in conferences, with strong presentations skills required.
  • Actively network with the respective association related to packaging development, recycling and sustainability to develop stronger connection with these entities.
  • Maintain and develop key customer relationships with a focus on quality while growing sales and developing service capabilities, in the fields of brand owners, resin manufacturers and converters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales experience or management in CPG, packaging development, equipment provider in the plastic packaging industry or in the field resin manufacturing.
  • Experience in selling to or management of Private Brands, National Brands, Advertising Agencies, and Contract Manufacturers is preferred.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong presentation skills, sales decks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and other European languages would be a plus.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic.
  • Operates with high level of integrity, honesty and professionalism.

Travel

Extensive travel throughout United States is required with eventual trips to the Europe.
