Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our consulting team, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with all federal and state-level regulatory requirements. This role will support the implementation, timeline management, and finalization of key regulatory and compliance requirements, including project management activities, development of workplans and timelines, report writing and editing activities, and data integration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Pursue effective relationships with stakeholders by providing resources, information, advice, and expertise to ensure alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders to drive the implementation of successful business initiatives and projects.
  2. Complete work assignments autonomously by applying up-to-date expertise in subject area to generate creative solutions, ensuring all procedures and policies are followed, and leveraging an understanding of data and resources to support projects or initiatives.
  3. Serve as part of a consultant team to ensure the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders to drive the implementation of successful business initiatives and projects within a functional track or workstream.
  4. Develop requirements for business, process, or system solutions within assigned business domain(s) by interfacing stakeholders and cross-functional teams as appropriate.
  5. Provide insight and support the development and implementation of business initiatives, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state by maintaining a working understanding of how current processes impact business operations.
  6. Support strategic planning and organizational alignment and prioritization of business initiatives by defining, developing, and evaluating performance metrics, standards, and methods to establish business success.
  7. Manage moderately complex projects or project components by coordinating stakeholder contacts, recommending or assigning team resources based on project needs and team member strengths.
  8. Participate in change management activities associated with business initiatives by engaging stakeholders to obtain support and buy-in for changes.
  9. Perform data analyses to support business initiatives by using appropriate data analysis tools and approach to assess business performance.
  10. Support vendor management as required by assisting with reviews of vendor performance levels, ensuring service level agreements are met, and partnering with Procurement and/or Legal to assist in the development of service level and/or scope of work agreements as appropriate.
  11. Monitor compliance of work activities by ensuring business plans and team members adhere to KP, departmental, and/or business line policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations, or a directly related field.
  • Master's degree in Business, Public Health, or a directly related field and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations, or a directly related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations, or a directly related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of data analytics experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with advanced Excel functions, including formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, macros, etc.
  • Highly preferred: experience with hospital and health plan-related regulatory requirements and related reporting.
