As a Senior Administrative Assistant , you will provide strategic administrative support to the Cengage Work Leadership Team and individuals across multiple business units. You will be a trusted partner, offering guidance and recommendations while effectively managing logistics and fostering strong relationships. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with a wide cross-section of people and levels, comfortably handle very high level and sensitive information, and thrive in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment

Where You'll Work: This is a remote position working from home. On occasion, there may be some travel to our HQ building in Boston MA. Preferred candidates will be located in the eastern time zone.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Calendar and year-long planning to optimize scheduling and time management for CW LT leaders. Handle very busy calendars in constant flux using MS Outlook
  • Handle all travel arrangements and frequent revisions as needed, including airline/hotel/car rentals. Understands preferences of leaders, and proactively troubleshoot and addresses travel conflicts
  • Plan and coordinate events, including venue/room block booking, travel assistance, meal planning, agendas, budget planning, content preparation, and on-site coordination.
  • Handle off-site logistics for all LT teams throughout Cengage Work.
  • Facilitate, drive, and project manage internal and external meetings, including team meetings, all-hands, etc.
  • Process all expense reports in an efficient and timely manner, in accordance with company T&E reporting policies.
  • Handle high-volume email correspondence and gain a solid understanding of executives' objectives and goals to act as a proxy if needed, follow up on action items, and provide feedback.
  • Liaise with executives, senior leaders, and colleagues on a regular basis.
  • Submit requests for purchase orders, process and tracking invoices through the payment process
  • Prepare and edit presentations, spreadsheets, communications, and other relevant documents.

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • 5+ years of proven experience supporting senior level executives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms
  • Superior organization skills and strong attention to detail and diligent follow up is critical.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and situations before they are fully developed.
  • Outstanding time management skills and able to handle multiple tasks and opposing and shifting priorities
  • High energy and good communication skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who can also be very effective independently
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward looking problem solver who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Avid learner who seeks feedback and consistently expands skills
  • Ability to work off-hours including nights and weekends as needed

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
