The Supervisory International Transportation Specialist:
Plans, develops, and coordinates program initiatives in the Western Hemisphere region and formulates coalitions with international organization, senior officials of other U.S.
Provides policy guidance, counsel and assistance to the Office Director, the Assistant Secretary and to the Congress and other executive branch agencies on all international transportation and trade policy matters with the Western Hemisphere region.
Is responsible for the development of international cooperation and trade promotion program policies for the Western Hemisphere region, supervising a staff and providing oversight of all program activities, and functions as the focal point for review of major policy issues resulting from department-wide international transport activities.
Represents the Office of International Transportation and Trade in conferences and international multilateral meetings within the Department and with other Federal agencies on issues of DOT wide significance.
The Ideal Candidate Statement:
OST is looking for a seasoned, motivated and self-reliant professional who can share their expertise in formulating and implementing international transportation and trade policy and managing multi organization project activities and resources to achieve project objectives and milestones.
This position is in the DOT building, which sits directly across the street from the Metro and a few blocks away from the National's Baseball stadium.
