Orion Partner Plus are delighted to have been retained to launch a search for an Research & Development Manager - Nonwoven. . The position will be based in Chicago (SW).

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the research and development of new non-woven products from concept through commercialization.
  • Evaluate and approve new equipment and production lines to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
  • Work with Sales & Marketing to identify opportunities for innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry partners to support product development and commercialization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the R&D process.

QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in non-woven product development, with a proven track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong Knowledge of non-woven manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Experience with evaluating and implementing new production technologies and equipment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in product development and project management.
