ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Systems Engineer I at Tandem, you will play a key role in supporting system engineering activities for both new and existing product development initiatives. Collaborating across functions, you will contribute to enhancing the design and development of our cutting-edge products. Your focus will be on creating comprehensive solutions to facilitate customer workflows and enhance user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Design and document system requirements for Tandem's mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Create system designs that align with business needs in terms of demand, cost, and performance.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to define system requirements and designs.
  • Contribute to the development of interface specifications and contracts between systems.
  • Provide system expertise for technical support, issue troubleshooting, and product testing.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Identify and mitigate system risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in designing system-level solutions for mobile applications interacting with various devices and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Systems Engineering practices and risk assessments.
  • Ability to collaborate across stakeholders and translate customer workflows into technical solutions.
  • Experience working with external vendors on cybersecurity and privacy solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards preferred.
IF YOU'RE EXTRA AWESOME:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medical Devices.
  • Knowledge of requirements management systems.
