• Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers across the site, acting as a trusted and collaborative advisor and a role model of BASF values and culture

• Support your assigned businesses (CM, ED and GEC) and managers on talent and performance management, employee engagement, and organizational issues, while ensuring you understand the unique needs and challenges of the business to provide effective HR solutions that support the achievement of business objectives/strategy. By utilizing your relationship building skills, you will diagnose, advise, influence, and guide managers on HR programs and processes that facilitate change and optimize the contributions and engagement level of employees.

• Demonstrating your excellent communication skills and your ability to interact, and influence with all levels, including production technicians, staff associates, managers, and leaders, you will promote and effectively manage the site environment by evaluating the business/site culture and employee relations issues and ensure that management is aware to proactively respond appropriately. Also, you will handle employee relations issues and investigations with professionalism and sensitivity, ensuring compliance with employment laws and policies

• Work with the Workforce Development and Talent Strategy team to plan, deliver, and evaluate training and development programs and initiatives that align with the site's talent needs and support employee career growth. Demonstrating your commitment to professional development, you will pursue and maintain in-house training certifications to provide training such as (but not limited to) Insights and Leadership etc.

• As a trusted subject matter advisor to employees and leaders, you will ensure compliance with employment laws and policies and monitor the implementation of HR policies and procedures. You will also administer and communicate HR policies and procedures and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.

• Support Talent Acquisition in recruiting and selecting diverse and qualified candidates and participate in interview panels. Provide compensation and benefit support and advice to stakeholders.

• Facilitate the performance management and talent review processes, succession planning, and knowledge management by providing feedback and guidance to managers and employees.

• Support organizational development and change management initiatives, such as reorganizations, mergers, or acquisitions, and help employees and managers adapt to the changes.

• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that support the site's strategic priorities and continuous improvement. Also, assist with employee exits, conducting exit interviews and providing insights and recommendations to improve retention and engagement.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.

• At least 10 years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related disciplines, preferably at a manufacturing site or with a manufacturing company

• Demonstrated strong performance in HRBP responsibilities and broad knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, performance review cycle, talent management, compensation, and policy implementation to provide sound advice and counsel to business leaders, managers and employees and evaluate employee relations and work-related matters and develop appropriate solutions within the framework of BASF policies and procedures.

• While the position is allowed to work a hybrid schedule, your physical presence, and accessibility on site for a minimum of 3 days every work week is required.
