Role Summary:The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. The Sr. benefits specialist also provides excellent customer services, monitors benefits administration as well as providing analytical and technicial support in the delivery of benefits programs.

This is a 100% onsite position.

Responsibilities
  • Administer all employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA/HSA, 401(k) and leave of absence.
  • Answer employee questions regarding the company's benefit plans and provide additional requested information to company employees.
  • Oversee wellness program and other quarterly/annual projects.
  • Reconcile benefit bills monthly and ensure timely payment processing.
  • ACA reporting
  • Assist with audits and compliance testing.
  • Assist in the plicy renewals, change process leading up to annual Open Enrollment
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Correspond with termed employees regarding conclusion of benefits and available options such as COBRA, and other continuation of alternatives
  • Analyze benefits plans as needed, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the company's stance.
  • Perform plan audits. Prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments. Review data in conjunction with actuarial evaluation task forces.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers and works closely and consults with vendors and brokers to ensure resolution of issues as needed.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or a comparable combination of education and benefits experience.
  • Thorough understanding of benefits principles and practices, including compliance/law.
  • Experience with ADP.
  • Must be detail oriented and accurate
  • Effective planning and priority setting.
  • Knowledge of benefits contract language.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations and filing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience managing large scale benefit program change projects and program rollouts is a plus
