Head of Product, Collaborative Intelligence Technology, Kumo
3 months ago
Product head owns the transformation of knowledge management services AWS re:Post and AWS re:Post Private into Collaborative Intelligence Technology (CIT) where humans and AI will collaborate to build collective wisdom. Owns the vision and three-year planning for CIT services including AWS re:Post, AWS re:Post Private, and internal data and knowledge services. They will drive adoption among target customer segments and customer success.
Key job responsibilities
As the Head of Product, you will define the strategic vision and own the long-term roadmap for major suites of technology products with company-wide impact. Working with technical teams, you will use your product domain expertise, customer obsession, and ownership of the end-to-end product development cycle (customer engagements, stakeholder buy-ins and requirements definition, CX design, compliance, feature definition and prioritization, product messaging, go-to-market strategies, and post-launch closed-loop feedback mechanisms) to lead products and teams through strategic and technical ambiguity to ultimate success. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market and technical and business outcomes, clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes. Beyond a strong technical background and proven track record of product management, a successful candidate will have experience driving strategy and influencing executive leadership. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, someone that approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and a person that dives below the surface to identify the root cause and "so what" rather than just superficial trends. Lastly, we are looking for a strong manager who can hire and develop great Product Management talent to help scale the organization to meet customer needs.
A day in the life
We have a team culture that encourages diversity and innovation. We expect team members and management alike to take high ownership for their vision and execution of ideas, and to foster a work environment empowering everyone to do the same. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
About the team
The Collaborative Intelligence Technology (CIT) organization currently caters to a range of customers, including AWS Managed Services (AMS) customers utilizing Self-Service Reports (SSR), public developers accessing self-service knowledge articles and community-generated knowledge on AWS re:Post, AWS Support frontline operations teams and Kumo product teams consuming actionable insights through self-service dashboards, Real-Time Metrics (RTM) dashboards, Kumo page-0 metrics, and on-demand analytics. Additionally, AWS customer-facing employees use AWS Guide for internal collaboration and self-service knowledge to solve customer problems. Lastly, AWS re:Post Private, a customer enablement service for Enterprise Support (ES) and Enterprise On-Ramp (EOP) customers.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating — that's why customers from the most successful startups to Global 500 companies trust our robust suite of products and services to power their businesses.
Diverse Experiences
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.
Inclusive Team Culture
Here at AWS, it's in our nature to learn and be curious. Our employee-led affinity groups foster a culture of inclusion that empower us to be proud of our differences. Ongoing events and learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences, inspire us to never stop embracing our uniqueness.
Mentorship & Career Growth

Work/Life Balance
