We are looking for a Global Payroll Manager who will:
- Lead all aspects of the payroll process and vendor relationships for multiple international locations/entities.
- Manage payroll for international PEO structures.
- Manage the upload of all commission and bonus payouts.
- Demonstrate expertise in state and local payroll taxes, benefits, 401k, and other aspects of payroll.
- Establish strong payroll quality controls, ensuring compliance with country, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Oversee timely and accurate payroll-related tax filings, including liaising with federal and state agencies.
- Ensure compliance with tax agencies and register with new tax agencies as required.
- Coordinate fiscal and calendar year-end processing, including supplemental payrolls, W-2s, and other tax forms.
- Manage vendor relationships with payroll providers, negotiating contracts and service-level agreements for cost-effectiveness and quality
- Drive and handle projects such as M&A payroll integration, planning and implementing new country payroll platforms.
- Generate and prepare payroll general ledger files for monthly accounting close, including booking journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
- Create, prepare, and analyze special reports for management and on an ad hoc basis.
- Respond to inquiries regarding payroll, employment status and history.
- Assist in annual audits, providing all requested information
- Stay current with international payroll laws, mitigating risks, and addressing compliance issues.
- Lead payroll system enhancements and upgrades as needed.
- Build positive relationships within cross-functional teams, providing expertise on payroll matters.
- Provide strategic leadership for payroll operations, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage, coach, and develop the payroll team to optimize operational excellence and talent growth.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience required, including 1-2 years managing people remotely
- Experience scaling and optimizing payroll systems and procedures for a fast-growing global organization, with a proven record of successful project management.
- Experience supporting a global payroll implementation.
- Proficiency with data analysis and Microsoft Excel & Google sheets.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- An ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, is flexible, collaborative, and deadline driven.
- Strong management ability with proven record to lead, positively influence and drive change
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to analyze data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Experience with ADP is a plus
Compensation: Conductor maintains competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
The base salary range for this role is currently up to $112,000 per year. Actual base salary offered may vary within this range based on education, knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience, internal equity, and geographic location, among other factors. The actual compensation, if offered a position, will be based on these factors.
Variable compensation: In addition to the base salary, this role is also eligible for a variable bonus based on personal and company performance.
