About Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS): CARS was established to provide comprehensive enterprise IT support to Federal clients within and outside the country. Our team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) brings decades of experience working in the Federal sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to deliver innovative products or services tailored to meet specific customer requirements in support of ESRI-based GIS systems.
  • Develop APIs for geospatial data ingestion and transmission to external systems using open GIS standards.
  • Offer engineering design input, development, implementation, and maintenance of mission requirements to enhance system security, performance, and availability.
  • Document the tools and processes utilized to build and install software in the production environment.
  • Provide regular updates on system requirements and capabilities to the client, utilizing current industrial software development best practices that include iterative and incremental project management techniques and agile software development.
  • Collaborate with technical team leads to understand system specifications and recommend changes for efficient development.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • Associate degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in data management and a good understanding of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
  • Experience with ArcGIS Server for creating and managing GIS Web services, applications, and data.
  • Familiarity with GeoServer for sharing, processing, and editing geospatial data.
  • Proficiency in Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards-based web services like Web Map Service (WMS), Web Coverage Service (WCS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Processing Service (WPS), and Web Map Tile Service (WMTS).
  • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python.
  • Support Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices.
  • Knowledge of building front-end or back-end Java applications or using Django Python.
  • Experience with Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate) and RESTful web services.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript Frameworks and related tools.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to acquire CI Poly.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks under time constraints in a dynamic contracting setting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Friendly demeanor, helpful attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to cooperate effectively with peers.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Experience in remote work settings and the capability to train end users on common technical queries.
  • Ability to offer technical support over the phone with good communication skills and a professional approach.
  • Previous customer service experience is highly valued.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think abstractly and solve complex issues.
