Electrical-Controls Engineering Manager Opportunity--Apply Today

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical-Controls Engineering Manager to join our Product Platforms and Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both automation and electrical system design and experience managing and leading technical staff, developing innovative products, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in mobile electrification.

Electrical-Controls Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drives strategic objectives and develops innovative products for industrial mobility.
  • Coaches, develops, and leads electrical, automation, and application engineers.
  • Ensures on-time completion of projects, new product developments, and customer support.
  • Manages Controls and Automation design tasks, reviews and approves ECOs, design packages, BOMs, firmware/software, and technical documentation.
  • Guides the Controls and Automation team, supports system design, circuit analysis, software reviews, and validation.
  • Assists engineering teams in large projects and R&D activities.
  • Reviews design risk assessments, verification, and validation to meet customer requirements and maintain quality standards.
  • Designs and validates embedded hardware, schematics, PCB assemblies, and develops embedded software in C.
  • Programs microcontrollers and PLCs for I/O signal processing and robust communication.
  • Travels to support engineering teams at production facilities.

Electrical-Controls Engineering Manager Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering; or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading technical staff; engineering manager, supervisor, or other technical team lead.
  • Experience with UL, IEC, FCC, and similar standards for electrical system design and regulatory compliance.
  • Substantial knowledge of embedded system design, firmware and software code creation, review, and control.
  • Experience with EPLAN Electric P8, Altium Designer, and Embedded Software development in C.
  • Ability to manage many concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and Industrial Ethernet communication protocols.
