As the Director of Cloud Infrastructure at Deepwatch, you'll be the linchpin in driving our cloud solutions' performance, stability, and security. Reporting directly to the CISO, you will lead cloud architects and engineers to ensure that Deepwatch's cloud environments are optimized for peak performance and scalability but also secure and resilient. This pivotal role will see you at the forefront of innovation and operational excellence, shaping the future of our cloud and hosted platforms. Your leadership will be instrumental in steering Deepwatch toward unparalleled success in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for cloud infrastructure
Stay ahead of trends and technologies to drive innovation within the cloud environment
Oversee the design and implementation of a scalable, secure, and resilient cloud
Ensure that cloud solutions are optimized for performance, scaling, and reliability
Implement cost management practices to monitor, analyze, and optimize spending
Develop and enforce policies to control costs while maintaining quality and performance
Ensure that cloud environments adhere to security and regulatory requirements
Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cloud architect engineers
Foster a collaborative culture for continuous learning and professional growth
Implement comprehensive monitoring and management tools
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and operational issues
Drive the adoption of automation tools and practices
Develop and manage IaC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
Manage relationships with cloud service providers and technology partners
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity for cloud environments
Regularly test and update recovery plans to ensure preparedness for disruptions
Provide regular updates and insights on cloud infrastructure performance, security, and costs to senior leadership and stakeholders
Communicate the value and impact of cloud initiatives to the broader organization, highlighting successes and areas for improvement

Have expertise in EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53, and CloudFront and have relevant AWS and Azure certifications
Design highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and AWS Security Hub
Implement cost optimization strategies
Be proficient in writing and maintaining advanced IaC templates and scripts
Design AWS Backup, S3, and RDS
Configure and manage AWS networking components
Lead and mentor a team of cloud architects and engineers
Demonstrate a strong understanding of AWS monitoring tools: CloudWatch

Ability to inspire and guide teams towards innovative cloud solutions
You are skilled in developing long-term strategies for cloud infrastructure and growth
Capable of making informed decisions quickly and effectively
Comfortable with change and able to adapt to new challenges and environments
Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement

The anticipated salary range for this role is $176,000 to $264,000 + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
