Overview:

This role is designed for a fully remote environment, ideally suited for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones. Occasional office visits may be required for conferences, events, or meetings as necessary.

Key Qualifications:


A minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience with Dynatrace and synthetic URL monitoring, including the installation of agents, forwarders, APIs, and utilizing performance monitoring tools to establish alerts, dashboards, and perform data trend analysis.

The role encompasses defining metrics, data collection methodologies, and reporting frameworks, while also implementing a solid performance management strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

- Establish and uphold IT performance monitoring and reporting strategies.
- Enhance reporting capabilities through standardization and automation.
- Assess the responsiveness and availability of critical websites and web applications from an end-user viewpoint.
- Collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to develop, implement, and optimize dashboards, scripts, and alerts.
- Advise application and cloud infrastructure engineers to improve their self-service monitoring and observability functionalities.
- Implement application monitoring, synthetic, and real user monitoring solutions adhering to best practices across the organization.
- Create Dynatrace dashboards for business processes, utilizing Dynatrace Business Events.
- Experience in cloud monitoring within AWS and Azure environments is essential.
- Monitor infrastructure components for CPU, memory, disk space, and I/O.
- Familiarity with automation, DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC tools and practices, including Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and API integration.
- Provide runbooks for other departments and suggest improvements to streamline operations, enhance processes, and proactively identify potential issues.
- Strengthen observability and monitoring capabilities across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid applications.
- Deliver in-depth visibility into application performance, diagnosing causes of performance degradation.
- Facilitate self-service monitoring and observability for application and cloud infrastructure teams.
