As the Benefits Analyst...

What You'll Do:
Responsible for partnering with employees in the Total Rewards team to provide support in the areas of Benefits Administration. The Benefits Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager, Benefits.

  • Administer employee benefits and various benefit programs, such as tuition reimbursement program, expatriate benefits programs, and wellbeing/perks programs.
  • Administer the annual benefit enrollment process ensuring timeliness and accuracy and processing new hire benefit enrollments.
  • Complete 401(k) and RRSP funding for each payroll (regularly scheduled and non scheduled)
  • Maintain and ensure accurate and complete premium and contribution calculations and collections and reconciling the monthly statements for voluntary insurance policies with employee paycheck deductions.
  • Maintain and track premium remittance/invoicing for all benefits vendors to compare against budget month over month.
  • Resolution of inquiries from active, terminated, and retired employees and outside sources regarding benefit plans.
Research information needed to resolve disputes and inquiries fairly in a timely manner.

  • Audit data based on employee information, revised calculations, and benefit plan changes.
Resolves issues as they arise and provides correct information.

  • Ensures compliance with governmental regulations in a timely manner including but not limited to supplying requested data and guidance.
  • EX: 5500s, ACA, RxDC, MA, WrapDoc, SARs, Medicare PartD, NDT, TrueUp, 401(k) Audit
  • Ensure timely drafting and distribution of employee and stakeholder communication of departmental objectives, changes, and announcements.
  • Run standard reports weekly, monthly, and quarterly for ongoing needs and facilitate the development of ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Assist with testing systems (e.
g., Payroll deductions, ESPP, annual enrollment, etc.)

  • Perform timely maintenance and accuracy of all benefits related policies and materials posted to James Hardie Intranet and Benefits enrollment system

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business management, or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration
  • Demonstrated Experience with HRIS (ADP Enterprise preferred)
  • Strong multi tasking skills and thrives in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem resolution and decision making skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal employees, and
with all levels of employees and management

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, HRIS and other software)
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and deal with multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material and information in an ethical, professional manner
