Yardi is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Category Manager to join our dynamic Yardi Marketplace (YMP) team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and manufacturers, handling escalated client and supplier issues with effective communication. You'll leverage data and performance trends to recommend product additions and deletions, maintain and update product data, and manage substitutions and discontinued items. Collaborate with vendors to enhance product presentation, manage logistics for complex orders, and identify underperforming suppliers. Your ability to exercise independent judgment, solve significant issues, and handle special assignments will be crucial. What You'll Do:

  • Act as a point of contact for the Yardi Marketplace (YMP) for assigned suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external parties regarding escalated client/supplier issues
  • Recommend product additions and deletions from the YMP catalog based on data and performance trends.
  • Gather, consolidate, and maintain required product data for the YMP catalog.
  • Manage product substitutions and remove discontinued products from the catalog.
  • Proactively work with vendors and distributors to enhance and update product presentation in YMP.
  • Leverage partners and cross match competitor and other product descriptions to correct YMP products.
  • Proactively manage logistics for large/complex orders and determines status on errant or delayed orders.
  • Identify systematically underperforming suppliers and documents issues.
  • Investigate, problem solve, and resolve issues of significance.
  • Exercise independent judgment as it relates to affecting, interpreting, and implementing operating policies.
  • Work on major and special assignments and provide ad hoc reporting and distribution.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • One (1) year of experience in procurement, operations, customer account management, or related area.
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and screen capture editing tools.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to use technology and systems to present to vendors, clients and colleagues.
  • High attention to detail and ability to analyze and compile multiple sources of data into reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong team orientation.
