Position Overview:
As a Senior Program Management Officer, you will provide essential project and program management expertise to division leaders, the AAL Director, and key stakeholders within the Army. Your role is crucial for the effective execution of various complex initiatives and operational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive project management support across a variety of intricate projects and initiatives, including operational strategy formulation, project planning, systems design, and data management.
- Act as the primary contact for all critical project components, including planning, logistics, budget management, and oversight.
- Conduct thorough and specialized studies, evaluations, and assessments on assigned topics and proposals.
- Assess the functionality of modernization projects and ensure effective coordination among all involved parties.
- Collaborate with contractors, government laboratories, and agencies to synchronize technical efforts towards project fulfillment.
Participation:
- Engage in Army, DoD, Federal, and non-governmental committees and task forces related to technology development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Candidates must undergo a suitability or fitness determination through a background investigation.
- A Top Secret Security clearance is mandatory.
- This position may require business travel (TDY) up to 30% of the time.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be necessary.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must meet specific employment authority categories to be eligible for this position. Documentation proving eligibility is required.
- Relevant experience, including volunteer work, will be considered for qualification. A detailed resume is necessary to demonstrate relevant experience.
Specialized Experience:
- One year of specialized experience is required, which includes:
1) Effective communication with senior leaders and external customers.
2) Knowledge of acquisition processes and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
3) Development of evaluation methods for program effectiveness.
4) Oversight of projects including advisory services, logistics, and budget management.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Candidates will be assessed based on competencies in Administration and Management, Communications, Planning and Evaluating, and Project Management.
Additional Information:
