What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist

Typical assignments include:
Responsible for working with assigned Directorates to plan and develop the contractual strategy necessary to meet their requirements.

This includes the management, training, and oversight of contract specialists who develop pre-negotiation positions, types of contract, and citation of appropriate regulatory and statutory authorities to justify the acquisition strategy , and prepare the necessary documentation.

Responsible for managing and oversight of the activities of highly specialized staff, possessing expertise in large complex competitive acquisitions.

Responsible for directing procurement activities in a work environment which is subject to frequent abrupt, and unexpected changes in work assignments, goals, and deadlines and requires the supervisor to constantly adjust operations under the pressure of continuously changing and unpredictable conditions.
