Grace is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Chief Labor & Employment Counsel to join our Legal Leadership team as we grow and develop our organization to build a scalable platform for rapid organic and inorganic growth.

This role reports to our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and is located in Columbia, MD.


The Associate General Counsel, Chief Labor & Employment Counsel is responsible for counseling on all labor & employment matters globally, including managing labor & employment litigation and union negotiations.

The position is responsible for effective and efficient labor & employment legal processes and developing team members.

Required Qualifications

  • J.
D. with strong academic record and active member in good standing of a State Bar.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor and employment, with at least 4 years in house and with significant experience in a large and sophisticated corporate environment.
  • Experience managing broad and complex labor & employment matters, including union and labor relations matters
  • Experience with privacy regulation, particularly regarding employee and customer/vendor information
  • The highest level of judgment, discretion, and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex labor & employment matters
  • Significant union/labor relations experience
  • Experience building and developing robust labor & employment processes and templates
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive team and environment
