Indianapolis, Indiana, United States Groups Recover Together Full time
Position Overview

At Groups Recover Together, we consider Counselors as the heart and soul of our organization. If you have a strong passion for group therapy, then this position is tailor-made for you. As a Counselor, group therapy will be your primary focus. At Groups, we are not looking for you to handle all aspects of care alone. You will be part of a collaborative care team that includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. This team works collectively to provide our members with a comprehensive clinical approach based on the belief that counseling, medication, and community support are fundamental for achieving lasting recovery. Some key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the treatment team and serve as the expert on addiction and recovery, guiding treatment decisions.
  • Manage a schedule and caseload to support office and regional needs while enhancing your clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with team members on the clinical service model.
  • Conduct 2-3 one-hour group therapy sessions to enhance recovery skills and build a sense of community using our established curriculum.
  • Monitor and track members' progress through outcome measures and client feedback.
  • Engage in community outreach activities by distributing materials and participating in relevant meetings.

Join our team and enjoy several benefits, including:

  • No mandatory one-on-one sessions or intake processes, allowing you to focus on leading groups with your counseling expertise.
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance with flexible scheduling tailored to suit your life and our members' needs.
  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive paid time off package.
  • Robust benefits like health, vision, dental, 401k with matching contribution, HSA, FSA, and paid parental leave.
  • Support for your professional growth through paid training opportunities and an annual stipend for ongoing education costs.
  • A well-defined merit-based career progression plan designed to help you advance within the organization.
Qualifications
  • An active behavioral health license in IN, including credentials like LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LCAC-A, or associate status.
  • Minimum of two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder setting.
  • Must possess qualities like compassion, collaboration, dedication to quality care, and a commitment to member success.
  • Ability to work up to three evenings per week until 9 pm, as required.
  • Preferred backgrounds in mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, or MAT.
