Community Medical Services (CMS) is actively seeking a dedicated Addiction Physician to support individuals on their path to recovery from opioid and other substance dependencies.

In this role, you will conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments, as well as oversee the prescription and management of medication treatment plans. Your contributions will create a secure environment for those embarking on their recovery journey.

- Ensure all medical evaluations, histories, and physical assessments are completed prior to patients receiving their initial medication dose.
- Oversee ongoing treatment, including signing medical orders, treatment plans, and maintaining documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Accurately complete same-day clinical documentation using designated visit templates entered into the Electronic Health Record.

Conduct detailed physical examinations of patients and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary for a seamless continuum of care.

Collaborate closely with the Medical Director to ensure the healthcare needs of patients are adequately addressed.
Provide education to patients, families, staff, and community members regarding medication effects, potential side effects, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Must hold a valid Physician license in the state of employment with Community Medical Services.

Qualifications:
- MD with American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) or MD with American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM)
- Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and opioid treatment is preferred
- Proficiency in documenting within an electronic medical record system
