Position Overview:
Acadia Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Addiction Psychiatrist to join our innovative team. This role is crucial in delivering comprehensive care to individuals facing substance use challenges and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Facility Information:
Our new facility is designed to accommodate 68 patients, focusing on acute care for adults experiencing detoxification, primary substance use issues, and psychiatric conditions. We also offer Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) to support our patients' recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services to patients within the facility.
- Adhere to medical protocols established by state and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies.
- Assess and review patient medical histories to ensure stability and provide informed medical recommendations.
- Conduct evaluations for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Implement treatment plans utilizing diverse psychotherapeutic techniques and pharmacological interventions.
- Document patient care plans and services accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) is required.
- A minimum of one year of post-graduate practice experience is preferred.
- Must hold a valid medical license in the state of practice.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Board certification in psychiatry is essential.
- Experience and/or certification in addiction medicine is preferred.
- Current DEA credentials for prescribing controlled substances without restrictions are required.
