PRIMARY DUTY: The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of recruitment and yield in their assigned territory. Coordinators must represent and promote Northwest Missouri State University accurately and persuasively to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators and other publics within the assigned territory. Additionally, the Recruitment Coordinator assists the Admissions-Recruitment team with the administration of all campus recruitment activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the coordination of recruitment and yield in assigned territory.
Management of all off-campus recruitment activities. (Include but not limited to counselor luncheons, junior nights, high school visits, agricultural sciences visit day, college fairs, regional conferences, award presentations and other venues) with their assigned territory
Responsible for the coordination and management of all virtual recruitment activities including but not limited to: large group, small group, and personalized sessions with their assigned territory
Create and maintain positive relationships with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics within assigned territory by providing information on academics, value, housing, student life, and general university activities
Analyze student data to select which recruitment strategies and information is most effective for each prospective student.
Utilize data management to target select populations for all armchair recruitment activities.
Actively conduct armchair recruitment that occurs during all stages of the recruitment funnel. Includes contact via emails, personal notes, phone calls, texting, and social media.
Utilize data management for the coordination of all off-campus recruitment activities within their assigned territory (counselor luncheons, junior days, high school visits, college fairs, regional conferences, enrollment workshops and other venues as assigned)
Establish, maintain and build relationships with Agricultural Science instructors and guidance counselors through phone call prospecting.
Review, update, and utilize computer-based lead tracking systems to aid in prospective student recruitment
Analyze data and select high schools and community colleges with strong agricultural sciences interest for conducting group presentations
Use territory management and data analysis to select agricultural science college fairs to participate in.
Utilize value-added and relationship-based techniques when working with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics
Create and achieve territorial goals and objectives based on trend data, historical reporting, and evaluation of prospect and admitted database information
Analyze, read, and report feedback to Admissions-Recruitment leadership with on-going competitive environment regarding Agricultural Sciences
Assist with the coordination of Summer Orientation and Registration, Advantage week, and General Registration
Survey residents of assigned territory to assess needs of prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics
Serve as a liaison between various internal departments in resolution of prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics concerns and issues
Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Undergraduate Degree or completion of 90+ credit hours and with Bachelor's degree expected in one year
Certification/License: Driver's license
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the field or a related area
Skills: Extensive knowledge of colleges and universities; ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds as well as cultivate awareness of cultural diversity; strong organizational skills; strong public speaking skills; ability to load, unload, and set up exhibits

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will work in an office environment with a work schedule determined based on service needs, which will likely include early morning, night, and/or weekend hours.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee and conduct Ag ambassador training, securing attendance at major ag events booking events and being the only supervisor to attend said events with the students. Fall and spring Training, Van training, Missouri state convention, Nebraska state convention, iowa state convention, assisting with National ffa convention. And any other things that the School of ag sci.
2. Being a primary planner/contact of Celebrate ag, and Ag Barnwarming.
