Description

  • Review surveys, title commitments, and exception documents.
  • Prepare documents for real estate, loan, and construction matters based on consultations with clients and attorney reviews. This includes agreements, leases, loan documents, and construction contracts.
  • Draft ancillary real estate transaction documents such as escrow instructions, deeds, easements, owner's affidavits, closing certificates, and entitlements.
  • Provide general assistance in real estate, lending, construction, and leasing transactions.
  • Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze and summarize documents, zoning ordinances, and statutes for attorney review.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys to resolve day-to-day issues and support various commercial transactions and projects.
  • Perform legal due diligence.
  • Multi-task and prioritize work assignments to consistently deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a real estate paralegal.
  • Expertise in contracting related to real estate, construction, and leasing transactions.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality performance with varied deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to communicate effectively across broad functional and organizational lines.
  • Self-starter adept at working in a team environment and partnering with management, clients, in-house counsel, outside counsel, and staff.

Additional Requirements:

  • Language Skills:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from attorneys, clients, staff, and the public.
  • Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills:
    Proficiency in Internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and legal software.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
    Paralegal certification and a minimum of 5 years of real estate paralegal experience.
