Provides comprehensive professional outpatient nursing care with medical conditions ranging from normal to those having complex complications requiring highly technical care and treatment within the OB/GYN Clinic.

Initiates follow-up care for patients seen for emergency treatment for threatened abortion, spontaneous abortion, partial abortion, ectopic pregnancy, and indeterminate pregnancy/rule-out ectopic pregnancy.

Responsible for tracking Makena medication regimen for patients requiring weekly injections for preterm labor from week 16 through week 36 of pregnancy.

Assists providers with patient examinations, therapeutic interventions, minor surgical procedures and biopsies to ensure infection control and time-out procedure adherence.

Notifies provider of any exclusionary criteria and schedules appropriate follow-up care.

Maintains and operates the following specialized medical equipment: Zoll defibrillator/monitor, suction machine, oxygen administration equipment, oxygen analyzers, intravenous pumps, PYXIS or other medication distribution systems.
