This role is part of the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which offers reimbursement for student loan payments.

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will perform clinical duties as directed by the leadership team in Patient Care Services.

The RN will exhibit leadership qualities while providing nursing care and serve as a role model when assigned as team leader or charge nurse under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee.

The Registered Nurse is accountable for managing and delivering care for patients with complex needs.

Core Duties Include:
  • Timely and accurate implementation of nursing orders for patients with complex care requirements.
  • Execution of physician's orders promptly, addressing any obstacles that arise.
  • Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers to establish realistic health education and treatment goals.
  • Documentation of nursing processes, including patient education and discharge planning.
  • Assessment and documentation of patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous self-assessment and professional development.
  • Referral and consultation with other healthcare providers for continuity of care.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following basic requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current, unrestricted nursing license in a U.S. State or Territory.

Preferred Experience

Experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry, psychiatric nursing, or outpatient care is preferred.

Additional qualifications may include certifications such as ACLS/BLS and experience in managing chronic diseases.


Physical Requirements

This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, and manual dexterity. The role may involve long periods of walking, standing, and transferring patients.

Annual health requirements must be met as a condition of employment.
