The Role:
ElevateBio is looking for a talented BD Operations Specialist to drive business development deliverables at BaseCamp. The BD Operations Specialist will be responsible for drafting proposals and Statements of Work, maintaining the partner inquiry response database and supporting sales initiatives to generate new business for BaseCamp's ongoing activities. A strong candidate for this role will have a background in process development, manufacturing, quality, or CMC.

Here's What You'll Do:

  • Lead authoring of proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) under supervision within the business development team, including:
    • Evaluate new project requests and prioritize response in collaboration with commercial development and operation teams
    • Respond to partner request for information (RFI) including questionnaires
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain information from key stakeholders and subject matter experts to generate tailored custom proposals with relevant technical, budget and timeline information designed to meet partner specific program needs and align with BaseCamp business growth objectives
    • Partner with project management and operation team to generate Statement of Work or other contract documents as needed to support ongoing project needs
    • Support Change Orders (CO) authoring, as needed
  • Develop and maintain standard proposal and SOW templates with a regular cadence for improvements
  • Maintain contract database for signed contracts and questionnaires, and support contract generation process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop a strong understanding of BaseCamp service offerings and competitive differentiation to support sales team in new lead generation, conference preparation and external partner meetings, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a scientific discipline or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant proposal/project management experience preferred but not required
  • Technical understanding of cell and gene therapy required, highly preferred to be familiar with the CMC workflow, biotech/pharma or contract manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with MS office (Excel, Word, Teams, etc
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Familiar with relevant customer relationship software systems such as Hupspot preferred, but not required
