Society Insurance is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Accounting team. The Financial Analyst will compile and analyze financial management information for internal and external customers and develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, dashboards, and presentations..
About the Role Compiles and analyzes data from multiple sources (internal and external) to create financial reports, management reports, and interactive dashboards.Supports business decision-making by analyzing proposed actions; monitoring actual results and variances; identifying trends; and recommending additional actions to management.Preparation of financial statements through general ledger reconciliations, collecting information, entering data into spreadsheets, and journal entries.Possesses ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.Maintains fixed-asset software by entering in newly purchased items; deleting all items sold, traded, or junked; reconciling account and month-end; tracking depreciation.Prepares compliance reporting, statutory filings, and tax filings from local, state, and federal agencies.Understands and optimizes the flow of data between systems (databases, systems of record, general ledger, and billing systems), including third-party integrations.Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of actual to forecast.Identifies trends and developments in our competitive environment and presents findings to Finance management.Analyzes financial information and gathers inputs to produce forecasts for the business.About You You are customer focused and enjoy working with others in a positive and collaborative team setting.You deal with concepts and complexity comfortably.You excel at communicating in a concise, direct, and unambiguous way.You enjoy using logic and analysis to solve problems and can quickly learn new technical skills.You enjoy divergent thinking and the propensity to question existing practices.You are a self-starter, manages multiple responsibilities, and adheres to time-sensitive tasks.
