Position Description

Position Purpose

As a Digital Content QC Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our web-based content and digital applications. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough quality control checks, identify and report issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.

Position Responsibilities

1. Quality Control:

* Conduct comprehensive quality control checks on digital content, including webpages, forms, multimedia elements, and interactive features as well as email communications.

* Review and verify content accuracy, functionality, and adherence to established branding standards, guidelines, and specifications.

* Identify and document issues, such as broken links, formatting inconsistencies, grammatical errors, and usability problems.

* Perform cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing to ensure a consistent user experience across different devices and platforms.

* Collaborate with web developers, and other stakeholders to address identified issues and implement necessary fixes.

2. Content Management:

* Assist in content management tasks, including, organizing, and maintaining web content in content management systems (CMS).

* Ensure proper tagging, categorization, and metadata application to optimize content discoverability and search engine visibility.

* Collaborate with the team to ensure proper content structure, formatting, and accessibility compliance.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

* Document quality control processes, test plans, and test results for reference and future audits.

* Prepare clear and concise reports on identified issues, their impact, and recommended solutions.

* Track and maintain records of issues, resolutions, and improvement actions taken.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including web designers, developers, and project managers, to address quality control issues and drive timely resolutions.

* Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, seek clarifications, and gather feedback.

5. Continuous Improvement:

* Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and web standards to continuously improve the quality control process.

* Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of quality control procedures and standards.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Publishing, or related degree required.
  • 1-2 years experience in writing and grammar, content proof reading, or related roles.
  • Experience in reviewing written pieces and the ability to manage tasks to meet deadlines are important.
  • Should have a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of the English language and format.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as CVENT or web development frameworks a plus
  • Proficiency in using web testing and debugging tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
