Principal Product Manager, Unified Portal

Job Summary:

Equinix is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead of our efforts in crafting a unified portal platform experience within our Platform & Engineering Services organization. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless integration of multiple product-specific portals into a single, cohesive platform. Your focus will be on improving the overall customer experience by furnishing a platform that enables customers to efficiently access and utilize Equinix's wide array of products and services. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to spearhead the development and delivery of a unified, seamless user experience. Through collaboration and coordination, we aim to ensure that the platform we create meets the diverse needs of our customers effectively and enhances their satisfaction with our offerings.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the unified portal platform. Define clear objectives and priorities in alignment with Equinix's business goals and customer needs.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, customer support, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of the unified portal roadmap. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to drive product excellence.
  • Champion a user-centric mindset throughout the product lifecycle. Conduct extensive user research, gather insights, and translate findings into actionable product enhancements that enhance customer satisfaction and drive engagement.
  • Drive the end-to-end product development process, from concept to launch. Collaborate with engineering and User Experience Design teams to define product requirements, manage sprints, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features and updates.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success. Continuously monitor performance, analyze data, and iterate on the product to enhance usability, functionality, and overall user experience.
  • Influencing executive leadership with clear written documents conveying complex business and technical problems and solutions.
  • Define tools and resources needed to achieve goals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to the digital experience space. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation to maintain Equinix's leadership position in the market.
  • Collaborate with multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, and Customer Support.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study
  • Over 10 years of experience working as a Product Manager
  • Hands-on experience leading teams building seamless self-serve web portal experiences with deep technical understanding of digital experience for Enterprise, B2B and Developer personas
  • More than 5 years of software product/platform development experience, include API development
  • Proficient in defining epics and writing user stories
  • Deep understanding and experience in UI and UX design
  • Knowledge of evolving cloud business models
  • Data-driven decision-making experience
  • Experience with partner business models, go-to-market motions, channels, resellers, and System Integrators Experienced in working within global technology organizations, adept at building cross-functional relationships at all levels.
