Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the billing, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and collections teams. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage and optimize financial processes. The Accounting Supervisor will ensure accurate and timely financial transactions, compliance with company policies, and continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor billing, AP, AR, and collections teams, conduct regular meetings, and perform performance evaluations.
  • Financial Operations: Ensure timely and accurate processing, review significant transactions, and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Process Improvement and Reporting: Identify and implement efficiency improvements, collaborate with other departments, prepare and analyze reports on team performance and financial metrics, and manage the monthly close process, including GAAP financial statements preparation.
  • Compliance and Relations: Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, maintain internal controls, and manage customer and vendor relationships, including dispute resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing high-volume billings, AP, AR, and collections, including proficiency in learning and navigating new systems and technologies
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Adept at quickly mastering and navigating new systems and technologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
