Job Description:
Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
The Lead HR Tech Analyst will play a vital role in supporting Discover's HCM business processes by leveraging their expertise in Workday and related HR technologies. The primary objective of this role will be to ensure the efficient operation, configuration, and continuous improvement of the Workday Human Capital Management System to meet the needs of our employees and the business. This role will work closely with various stakeholders across HR and IT to ensure the effective implementation while creating great experiences and utilization of the Workday platform. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading Core HCM & Recruiting while also supporting team with delivery of solutions across other modules
- Leads Workday configuration and solutioning in partnership with Product owners and HR PMO
- Partners with technology teams and third-party consultants to develop and deploy data interfaces and systems integrations.
- Work closely with People Analytics team for workday reporting and dashboard enhancements
- Coaches and mentors HR Technology Analysts - sharing Workday expertise.
- Supports Workday release management, reviews release summaries, and releases readiness documents from solution vendors. Identifies enhancement solutions and impacts to downstream systems.
- Research system trends with a focus on product and service development, automation, delivery, and support.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applies key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Through classes, training, use of collaborative tools at work, cloud communities, continually increases both HR knowledge and HR Technology application/tools knowledge.
- Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes. Designs and develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentation to support change management initiatives.
- Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
- Drives continuous improvement and service delivery excellence within the functional area by ensuring a well-controlled environment through effective processes, workflow, and technology.
- Develops or implements quality control programs to ensure quality of HR data.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
- Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology or Human Resources
- 6+ years experience with Human Capital Management Systems
- In lieu of a degree, 8+ years' experience with Human Capital Management Systems
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we'd also look for:
- Workday partner or Pro Certification strongly desired
- Proficient in EIBs and Calculated fields creation
- Proficient with Workday Report Writing
- 2+ years of Workday consulting and or implementation experience
- EIBs and Calculated fields experience preferred
- Experience using Agile scrum methodology
- Experience using Service Now and or Jira application
- 3+ years with configuration knowledge of 2 or more additional Workday modules including Onboarding, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Performance and Talent
- Workday Security provisioning experience
- 2+ years with advance excel experience
- Must be able to communicate - both verbal and written - for direct consultation with customers at all levels in the organization to define requirements, design solutions, test and implement to meet the business need.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127, Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
