About the Role

Stronghold is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with the ability to efficiently manage financial records and ensure accurate and timely reporting. This part-time position offers flexible hours and is perfect for individuals looking to contribute their expertise to a dynamic work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage bill payments, and monitor accounts receivable.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliation of bank statements to ensure accuracy on a timely basis.
  • Financial Reporting: Be able to assist the controller with generating financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Budget Monitoring:Work closely with management to assist with monitoring and adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Audit Assistance: Work with the Finance team to prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Close:Support month-end and quarter-end close activities to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.

What We're Looking For

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Xero bookkeeper, with specific experience in US GAAP accounting.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Part time position with 20 hours per week

Ability to work remotely within the US
