OVERVIEW

The HR Manager will work closely with the HR Business Partner to support several Capital Markets investing teams with their overall talent management agenda, including assessing, hiring and retaining the best talent possible, on-going program and performance management activities, and a variety of development and HR-related initiatives to enhance the team's overall professional capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess people-oriented strategic and operational planning skills, a strong attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. This candidate will be a self-starter and someone who functions well in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Lead external recruitment searches, including programmatic hiring, and develop a tailored strategic search plan for junior- to mid-level investment positions.
  • Act as primary liaison for candidates with responsibility for facilitating the interview process soup-to-nuts - from initial talent screens, interview schedules and feedback collection, to compiling offer package recommendations, conducting reference checks, and development of closing strategy for top candidates.
  • Focus on proactive talent identification, including building and developing strong internal and external industry networks to generate leads/candidates.
  • Develop and implement campus recruiting strategy (internships and full time), including driving marketing and brand-building efforts, event planning, virtual info sessions, etc.
  • Track and analyze recruiting results, benchmark vs. historical data and competitors, with a focus on accurate reporting and assessment on how we can continuously improve.
  • Drive on-boarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and integration to the firm.

Talent Management and Development

  • Oversee semi-annual performance review processes in partnership with HRBP and senior management - summarizing and developing action plans for development themes, assisting in generation of performance messages/themes, supporting team in finalizing and delivery of reviews, and overseeing Workday system functionality.
  • Develop and support the training agenda for investment staff on both an individual and broader group basis.
  • Coordinate ad hoc training and team development initiatives - e.g., team off-sites, meetings.
  • Manage Analyst and Associate programs: conduct regular check-ins and act as a liaison with managers.
  • High level oversight of Summer Analyst program.
  • Assist with headcount planning and budget processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting, and/or talent management; professional services experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior professionals across the firm.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical ability, including a high degree of comfort with Excel.
  • Proactive and creative problem-solver with a desire and energy to continuously improve.
  • Facility with building trust-based, collaborative, and inclusive relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and frequently shifting priorities and deadlines; able to juggle multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Facility with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required; familiarity with Workday a plus.
