Assists in all areas of the Retail Shop requiring attention as requested by supervisor. Determines replenishment for common, non-recurring items and new items. Keeps product lines, product types, and/or retail space in stock and monitors tum and inventory levels.

Supports planograms and checklists, coordinating and maintaining appropriate levels of brands, signature products, and other bestselling items at all times.

Monitors the Retail Shop's operational results to identify opportunities for enhanced performance and customer service. Performs recurring assignments with related research steps. Searches easily accessible sources, such as office files, to collect program data supporting organizational activities.

Performs register sales transactions quickly and accurately in accord with established cash control procedures and customer service guidelines. Independently operates a cash register and is responsible for the assigned change fund.

Counts assigned cash register bank daily and makes needed changes by going to the Credit Union before opening the Retail Shop.

Prepares the change for the weekend banks.

Independently performs the full range of routine and repetitive cash processing tasks associated with opening and closing duties.

Properly displays new products and frequently restocks merchandise.

Determines quantities required and time for replenishment for common, non-recurring and new items based on experienced judgment and/or consultation with supervisor.


Solves routine discrepancies in the movement of material to assigned organizations, including performing computer searches and/or research of records and documents.

Performs various other related duties as assigned.

Position may require prolonged periods of standing.

Work schedule will include Saturdays, some evenings and holidays.

Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.

The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area.
