Role Purpose

The Specialist, Luxury & Lifestyle Tiered Services - Social Media is responsible for the strategic execution of a social media marketing and content strategy for hotels within the Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio. This position will work under the Senior Manager, LLTS Social Media to develop, implement, track, and optimize social media for participating properties. This includes creating organic strategy, boosting content, calendar content planning + scheduling, reporting, and working with the wider commercial teams to ensure social media strategy takes in account IHG brand and property-specific initiatives. Graphic design, photography experience and/or an artistic eye for lifestyle (social) imagery are a plus, though not mandatory. Must have strong copywriting skills, be receptive to feedback and have a knack for organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategize and execute organic social media strategy, content, analytics, and other digital media strategies to build awareness and engagement
  • Work with participating LLTS properties to draft, deliver and edit monthly planning calendars; conceptualizing and implementing unique copy written in brand-approved tone, as well as maintaining and selecting appropriate imagery that tells a story
  • Create and implement graphics that further the hotel and/or restaurant's messaging
  • Establish relationship with property teams and provide real-time social media marketing tactics that help drive impressions, reach, and gain new followers
  • Create timely monthly reports that provide summarization of findings; including top performing content, engagement rates and follower growth
  • Conduct regular audits of social accounts and provide recommendations on delivering timely, clever, and eye-catching content in calendars
  • Hold regular property/team calls and prepare meeting agendas/recaps on behalf of the LLTS social team
  • Monitor social account daily and perform community management on behalf of the hotels and restaurants
  • Work with contractors as needed to deliver copy/content in a timely basis
  • Manage and organize hotel/restaurant content for use; work with LLTS influencer specialist to collaborate with partners as necessary to maintain a steady flow of high-quality content
  • Perform as-needed shoots with property teams to gather content; work with photographer to assist with on-property shoots as needed
  • Produce value-added content as needed by working closely with internal stakeholders, freelancers, writers, customers and partners
  • Benchmark social performance within hotel/restaurant's comp set; develop creative and timely content to stand out; continually monitor and report on competitor activity as relevant
  • Maintain social media best practices, trends and tools and be a spokesperson for the LLTS social team during wider calls and meetings
  • Develop & manage relationships with hotel teams and owners, wider LLTS and home office teams

  • BS/BA Degree required in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
  • 4-6 years of demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media strategies and tactics

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and balance multiple deadlines
  • Highly motivated with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changes in work objectives and available technologies
  • Proven copywriting skills and understanding in selecting appropriate content that tells a story
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with respect to written copy, graphic design, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of Sprout Social (or other planning platform), Sprinklr, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & TikTok
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools -- particularly with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • A passion for social media, including knowledge of evolving best practices, trends, and influencers
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously on behalf of the social team and hotel stakeholders

Job Role to Post: Social Media Specialist

Location: This role could be remote, West Coast Ideally.

The salary range for this role is $51,760.94 to $74,999.02 This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

**This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
